Basic Necessities has been officially approved as a member of the prestigious National Diaper Bank Network.
Basic Necessities is the only nationally-recognized diaper & period products bank serving families in the ArkLaTex region. The nearest diaper bank is in McKinney, Texas.
The National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that children, families, and individuals in the United States have access to the basic necessities required to remain healthy & thrive in daily life.
Their core mission is three-fold:
Raise awareness of diaper need and its pervasiveness in America;
Support the development and expansion of community-based diaper banks throughout the country, so each can better meet the basic needs of babies and families;
Distribute diapers and funding to their national network of community partners/community-based diaper banks.
NDBN connects and supports the country’s 200+ community-based diaper banks that collect, store and distribute free diapers to struggling families. The Network serves nearly 280,000 children throughout the country each month.
Earlier this year, Basic Necessities was also approved for membership with the national organization Alliance for Period Supplies as the only designated period product bank serving the ArkLaTex region.
